美國媒體Axios 8日報導，4名美方官員表示，拜登政府近幾周已越來越不信任以色列政府對其多線戰爭的軍事和外交計畫說法。
Axios指出，美以兩國越來越嚴重的信任危機，正因以方計畫為了大規模飛彈攻擊報復伊朗而擴大。

根據報導，以軍的行動需要跟美方協調，以防伊朗做出回應。美方官員表示，拜登政府不反對以方回應伊朗1日晚間的攻擊，但是希望要慎重。一名美國官員表示，「我們對以色列人的信任現在非常低，而且有充分的理由」。
2名美方官員告訴Axios，白宮國家安全顧問蘇利文在4日的電話會議上，告訴以色列戰略事務部長德默爾（Ron Dermer），美國期待以色列在報復伊朗的計劃上表現出「清晰和透明」。因為，這將對美國在該地區的部隊和利益產生影響。
一名官員稱蘇利文正在暗示，如果美國不知道以色列正在計畫要做什麼，就不會自動加入協助擊退伊朗另一次針對以色列的飛彈攻擊。不過，美方官員承認，無論如何，美國很有可能會幫助以色列自我防衛。
前述官員表示，德默爾強調，以色列希望跟美國協調，但他們補充指出，拜登政府質疑，可以在多大程度上相信事實就是如此。另一位美方官員則表示，他們跟以國政府關於伊朗的討論具有建設性。白宮拒絕評論，以色列使館沒有回應置評請求。
