為迎接國慶日到來，桃園市政府交通局在市府廣場前縣府路口交通號誌秀巧思，讓行人專用號誌的小綠人手上拿著飄揚旗幟，還有國旗、雙十、煙火等國慶3元素，與市民歡度國慶日。
桃園市政府交通局局長張新福今天表示，交通局10月於市府廣場前縣府路口交通號誌，配合國慶日發揮巧思設計，讓平時陪伴行人安全通行的行人專用號誌小綠人，在國慶期間手中多了新裝備國旗，另外還會顯現國旗、雙十及煙火的國慶3元素，陪伴市民歡度國慶。

張新福指出，除了有小綠人揮舞旗幟外，在行人紅燈時，「小紅人」也會高舉旗幟歡呼，而在最上面的訊息跑馬燈，則會同步顯示今年桃園市府國慶月主題「光輝國慶 閃耀桃園」字樣，更有國慶煙火畫面做為彩蛋。
張新福說，行人專用號誌結合LED動態圖像，不僅能宣傳地方特色，更可藉此吸引用路人關注，提醒交通安全相關訊息，以提升行人安全意識，這次在國慶日發揮巧思，就是希望在兼具安全之餘，也與桃園市民一起慶祝國慶日，整個10月都會持續使用相關號誌。（中央社）
