在第八屆全球華文永續報導獎中，臺灣藝術大學的音頻作品「邁向新人生」榮獲學生組音頻類優等獎。由陳品勻創作，本節目探討了新住民女性在台灣的過去與現在的生活境況。儘管社會對新住民的態度有所改善，但歧視問題仍然存在。節目試圖追溯問題的根源，並展現新住民女性的獨特魅力。
入圍感言中，陳品勻表示，作為新二代，能夠入圍這個獎項是極大的榮幸，希望藉此引起社會對新住民議題的重視，促進更友善的社會風氣。她感謝評審的肯定，並期待未來新住民能夠持續邁向「新」人生。

評審對作品給予高度評價，稱讚其成功地呈現了新住民豐富的生命故事，並在個案中發掘出細節和場景，形成記憶點，成為「特寫故事」(feature story)成功的關鍵。節目不僅談論新住民面臨的問題，還引入了台灣社會和法律對新移民可能存在的歧視問題，提升了報導的層次，發揮了引領公共政策討論的社會責任。
技術上，節目在使用背景音樂時控制得當，增強了聆聽體驗。本作的最後導入了對「新移民基本法」的討論，但對照近期新聞的發展，其實「新移民基本法」才是本作的新聞點，評審指出，若能更早引入這一新聞點，將有助於更深入探討這一關鍵議題。
