中山高北上台南下營路段今凌晨傳出追撞車禍，休旅車撞及大貨車後起火燃燒，休旅車駕駛輕傷，詳細肇事原因待釐清。而70多歲大貨車司機擅自駛離現場至新營分隊報案，將面臨3000元以上、9000元以下罰鍰。
事故發生在北上299公里下營系統交流道附近，時間在今凌晨4點半許，警方初步調查，當時51歲陳男駕駛休旅車不明原因追撞前方由77歲蕭姓男子所駕駛的大貨車，休旅車撞擊後起火全面燃燒，陳男及時逃出，身上有輕微擦挫傷。
