屏東縣消防局今天12點41分接獲報案，在恆春核三廠左側出水口有3名潛水客2女1男，因不明原因溺水，男性潛客上岸求救，兩名女性淺潛水客卡在消波塊待救，消防人員到場，其中36歲女性潛水客救起OHCA，送醫後下午14點42分宣告不治，釀1死2傷。
消防局今天中午近1點獲報，恆春鎮核三廠左側出水口3名潛水客，2女1男不明原因溺水，男性潛客上岸求救，2名女性潛客卡在消波塊待救，出動恆春、墾丁、枋山分隊及第四大隊，共計7車16人1艇，由第四大隊副大隊長林珏伶帶隊。

抵達現場發現2名女性潛客、1人清醒、1人OHCA卡在消波塊，立即架梯將2名潛客帶上岸，同行3名潛客分別由墾丁救護車，32歲男，情緒激動，與恆春救護車，24歲女性清醒、36歲女性OHCA，送往南門醫院及恆春旅遊醫院急救，36歲女性送醫搶救不治。
