中油表示，本週依油價公式及政府調降貨物稅(汽、柴油每公升各共2元及1.5元)調整國內油價，並持續以亞洲鄰近國家最低價及平穩措施運作，協助穩定國內油價，汽、柴油各應調整之1.3元及2.6元均由台灣中油吸收，113年累計至6月底止，台灣中油共吸收約159.94億元。
從7月開始，國內油價就一路走揚，今日宣布調升，是連續五周上揚。對於國內油價與國際走勢不同，中油解釋，最近幾周日本加油站都有解禁上調，因此「亞鄰最低價」的天花板就有上調空間，可把過去未漲足金額反映過去，不過因目前還有平穩機制把關，否則漲幅更大。
至於國際原油下跌原因，主因大陸製造業景氣不如預期，同時調查顯示亞洲、歐洲和美國等地的製造業活動疲軟，引發了全球經濟增長乏力的擔憂，進而對石油消費造成壓力。加上以哈停火的可能性持續上升，市場擔憂原需繞路避開紅海的海上原油庫存會逐漸釋放，致陸上原油庫存增加。
