「市民電影日in臺中」將在11月18日至11月19日的周末假日於臺中豐原in89豪華影城舉辦，臺中市民憑證件即可免費入場觀賞精選國片。臺中豐原in89豪華影城與臺中市政府攜手合作，挑選了四部電影，周處除三害」、「車頂上的玄天上帝」、「惡女」、「蘭陵40-演員實驗教室」，於11月18日至11月19日兩天回饋給臺中鄉親，憑本人身分證即可免費看國片，場次席次名額有限，總共852個名額，額滿為止。
影城表示「周處除三害」及「車頂上的玄天上帝」榮獲111年「臺中拍」劇情長片獎勵，並選擇於臺中做為重要拍攝場地，呈現臺中多元文化面貌；「車頂上的玄天上帝」入選今年威尼斯影展創投市場展，成為全球27部長片之一，「惡女」則是由金馬獎最佳動畫長片「幸福路上」新銳導演宋欣穎執導，邵雨薇及林美秀攜手主演；「蘭陵40-演員實驗教室」結合劇場遊戲與演員生命經驗，記錄下金士傑、趙自強、劉若瑀、鄧安寧等傳奇演員們演出生命中的重要段落，並將這四部國片推薦給臺中觀眾。
