政府推動社會住宅，花蓮規劃3處共逾900戶，「美崙安居」今天舉行開工動土典禮，行政院長陳建仁主持儀式，盼推動更多社宅，讓年輕人成家之路更平穩順暢。
陳建仁致詞表示，居住正義是政府重要政策，規劃社會住宅20萬戶的目標，2016年開始推動，預估明年底可達107％的目標；在全台不論哪一縣市都是用最高標準來施作，包括綠建築、智慧型建築、耐震標章、太陽光電、無障礙空間，還有幼兒園、日照中心等。

陳建仁說，不論中央或地方，都是為了讓年輕人或有需要者有一個安居樂業好住所，花蓮規劃包括美崙安居共3處，總戶數超過900戶，今年6月花蓮第1座社會住宅「中美好室」已開工，有126戶，美崙安居為第2座425戶，第3座在吉安鄉有300多戶。
內政部國家住都中心在花蓮規劃3處只租不售社宅，花蓮市美崙安居統包工程去年底決標，預計興建425戶，總經費新台幣23億餘元，預計2027年10月完工。
內政部國家住都中心執行長黃景茂接受媒體聯訪表示，美崙安居占地0.77公頃，將建2棟地上13層、地下2層的建築體，1樓規劃托嬰中心及店鋪，提供友善便利服務，且全案設計建蔽率低於40％，留設出大量開放空間，與周邊鄰里共享。
