第20號輕度颱風「潭美」，今（26）日凌晨2時中心位於鵝鑾鼻西南方約820公里的海面上，朝西的方向進行；第21號颱風「康芮」，凌晨2時中心位於鵝鑾鼻東南東方約2110公里的海面上，未來朝西北西前進，在下週會有北轉的趨勢，而北轉時間仍有不確定性，氣象署持續觀察中。氣象專家林得恩表示，康芮颱風生長環境條件相當優渥，將來至少會是中度颱風或以上的強度，目前評估要靠近、或侵襲臺灣的機率都偏低。

林得恩表示，另一個颱風，潭美颱風，目前繼續朝西移動，當接近越南時，由於環流配置的改變，運動路徑將會來個大迴轉，「只不過，非常可惜的是，它所重新回到的海域環境垂直風切偏大，海水熱焓量偏低，不利颱風繼續生存，強度將會逐漸減弱。以目前資料研判，要再靠近台灣的機率也是偏低的。」
