美國總統拜登和中國國家主席習近平15日在舊金山灣區的費羅麗莊園（Filoli）進行會晤後，拜登召開記者會時表示，他告訴習近平，美國不希望中國以任何方式干涉台灣事務。

當被記者問及是否信任習近平時，拜登說，「俗話說，要信任，但也要查證。」並指雙方承諾保持溝通管道暢通，可以「拿起電話，立即聽到對方的聲音」。
