墨西哥薩卡特卡斯州（Zacatecas）當局表示，一輛貨運卡車今天在墨西哥北部與一輛載客巴士相撞，造成至少19人死亡、6人受傷。
法新社和路透社報導，薩卡特卡斯州州長蒙瑞爾（David Monreal）最初表示24人死亡，但後來州檢察署援引急救人員的資訊將死亡人數修改為19人，6人正在醫院接受治療。

這起事故發生在連接薩卡特卡斯州和中部阿瓜斯卡連特斯（Aguascalientes）的高速公路上，一個裝滿玉米的貨櫃從卡車上掉下來，導致載有25人的巴士翻覆。
這輛巴士當時在納耶瑞州（Nayarit）西部的泰比克市（Tepic）和位於美墨邊界城市華雷斯城（CiudadJuarez）之間行駛。州檢察署表示，罹難者中並沒有移民。
薩卡特卡斯州高階官員雷耶斯（Rodrigo Reyes）說，高速公路已封閉，並部署軍隊、國家衛隊和民防部隊因應。
自2020年以來，墨西哥的交通事故不斷增加，當時的事故數量超過30萬起。
根據墨西哥國家統計與地理學研究所（Inegi），去年發生38萬1048起事故，導致4803人死亡、9萬多人受傷。
