當事人在臉書社團「我是板橋人」表示，帶台中的朋友去吃錢都，吃到一半天花板掉下來一隻超級大隻的老鼠，讓同桌人全都嚇得落荒而逃，不過外面還有很多人在排隊，當事人表示原桌已經被清潔過，「感覺又會再讓下一組客人繼續坐下來吃」，不禁存疑「這樣真的還吃得下去嗎？」記者實際到現場，看見裡頭的客人坐滿滿繼續吃鍋，外頭也還有人在排隊，疑似還不知情。
隨後錢都餐飲集團隨即發表道歉聲明：「今（26）日在錢都板橋雙十店B區發生老鼠擾客事件，非常抱歉造成現場用餐客人的驚慌，錢都雙十店B區即刻暫停營業2天，並委由專業消毒公司進行全面清消作業。」錢都指出，開業27年來尤為重視餐廳環境整潔，研判應是近日餐廳一樓外圍進行消毒，導致老鼠入店內躲藏，造成客人驚慌，深感抱歉。錢都也強調，內部將進行檢討並徹底清潔餐廳環境，盼能提供客人安心的用餐環境。
